Your complete fresher's survival guide for GTU engineering
Congratulations on starting your engineering journey! The first year is crucial for building strong foundations and adapting to college life. This guide will help you navigate through the initial challenges and make the most of your GTU experience.
Focus on understanding concepts rather than just memorizing. GTU emphasizes practical knowledge over theoretical cramming.
Balance academics, practical sessions, and personal time. Use the first semester to establish good study habits.
Join technical clubs, participate in events, and build relationships with seniors and faculty members.
Maintain physical and mental health. Engineering can be demanding, so prioritize self-care and regular exercise.
Follow these official steps to secure admission in GTU affiliated colleges.
Register on the official ACPC portal by purchasing a PIN and filling out your basic details, PCM marks, and GUJCET scores.
ACPC generates a Merit Rank based on a 50-50 weightage of your 12th Board marks (PCM) and GUJCET score.
Download the Official College List and Previous Year Cutoffs from the ACPC site. Match your generated Merit Rank against these cutoffs to predict your college.
Fill your choices in the Mock Round. This is strictly for practice to show you which college you might get. It is NOT your final admission.
ACPC conducts 3 official rounds. You must fill/alter choices in Round 1. If you confirm admission by paying fees, it's final. Otherwise, proceed to Round 2.
Confused about the process? Watch our detailed video walking through the registration, document uploading, and choice filling process live on the ACPC portal.
